Sunday 23rd June – The Morton Quaich

19 played on a glorious morning which got even hotter as the day wore on so that by the end of the golf we were able to enjoy our refreshments in the sunshine at the outdoor tables behind the home green. Very entertaining, as was the tale of a past captain literally getting his knickers in a twist halfway through the back nine! But back to the golf. David Morrison shot a fine gross 70 to win by 2 shots from Kevin Jackson.

1st David Morrison (11) – 59

2nd Kevin Jackson (10) – 61

3rd Jamie Macpherson (5) – 62 acb and lowest gross

4th John Pennycott (13) – 62

CSS came down to 62 and there were 3 magic 2s all scored at the 17th by Laurence Blair, Wayne Dale and Jamie Macpherson
