A fine late summer day brought a good field of 25 and some fine scoring for the 2024 Bannatyne. Nicol Auld posted a superb gross one under par to pip Ryan Armstrong to first place

For the first time in a number of years WBGC was able to send a team to compete in the Kelso Cup. This year the event was held at Brodick GC and was run as a Greensome with each 4 person team splitting into two teams. The event was won by Shiskine GC – congratulations to them – but our own team of Freddie Lucas, Ewan Morrison, Fraser Hackett and Fergus West put up a more than creditable performance, especially so in their first appearance in competitive team golf.
Well done boys. Not long before we’ll be seeing you in the grown-ups (term used loosely) competitions.
Unfortunately we cannot play the Texas Scramble this weekend.
