Friday 15th August – AGA Champion of Champions
Huge congratulations to Whiting Bay GC champion, Danny Head who has achieved the accolade of Arran Champion of Champions by winning a very tight final against multiple past winner, Ewan McKinnon. That in itself is quite something but to prevail over Ewan on his home course at Brodick undoubtedly adds to the achievement. The nature of the victory, which turned on the final putt on the final green for Danny to win 1 hole up, also tells of the closeness of the match which, as we have come to expect in Arran golf, displayed the highest traditions of sporting behaviour from both players.
