19 played and found the course in beautiful condition with the greens reaching their summer best. Overhead however a blustery wind made for difficult scoring reflected in the fact that no player returned a score to equal par.

Tee times are now available but will no doubt fill up quickly for this perennially popular event so make sure you book promptly. And remember, there are prizes on each day for any that can’t manage to play both.

Dear Lady Golfers
We hope that you and yours are well and no doubt like us looking forward to more normality and lots of golf! We are delighted that we are once again able to hold our Whiting Bay Ladies Open competition with lots of lovely prizes and a warm welcome.
We are pleased to invite you (and your friends on or off island) to play in our Ladies Open on Saturday 31st July and this year it is an 18 hole Stableford, 2 or 3 balls. The cost is just £10 per person payable on the day. To book a tee time, please contact Lesley Wood at lmwoodarran@gmail.com or phone her on 01770 700466 as soon as possible to get your preferred tee off time. If you require a buggy they are on special offer at just £10. During the day John will be serving his delicious hot and cold snacks.
If you would like to sponsor a hole, there is a notice up in the clubhouse or just let Lesley know. As always any donations for the raffle or prizes will be gratefully received. As yet we do not know if we will be able to hold a prize giving but our famous raffle will definitely go ahead!!
Any players without handicaps are also welcome to play but are only eligible to win hole prizes.
We do hope that you will be able to join us for fun, friendship as well as competitive golf!

Here’s the fixture list for the coming month. Would members please note that for the Tor Alvey Greensome (teams of two) a draw for partners WILL TAKE PLACE at 9.45am with a view to a shotgun start at 10am. For the remainder of the fixtures listed players should make up their own groupings. We hope to reinstate draws as soon as circumstances permit.
