For this special day there will be a draw at 10am with games starting at various tees if needed. If we’re lucky with the weather we hope to have a socially distanced prize giving/gathering outside the clubhouse at close of play.

After a week of bright sunny weather a bit of a shock to the system for the 22 who played on a damp and chilly morning. The shock did not appear to affect too many though; scoring was good with the top 5 players all beating par. Top of the heap with an exceptional net 60 was club captain Stan Rainey.

In a break with WBGC tradition, Sunday’s Yellow Tees Stableford will be a ‘Counter’ for handicap purposes. This will bring us into line with the ethos of the recently introduced world handicap system and it may be this will become the norm rather than the exception.
While Covid restrictions are still with us, intimations to Scottish Golf require someone to attend the clubhouse sometime after the competition and enter scores via the internet. It is therefore essential that players clearly enter their full name, the name and date of the competition and scores returned on each hole on the score card.
