Sunday 27th February – Winter Cup Rd 5
8 players contested the 5th round of the Winter Cup on a bright but cold morning and found the course in remarkably good shape following the recent storms and heavy rain.
1st John Pennycott (12) – 63 and lowest gross
2nd Gus MacLeod (14) – 64
3rd David Brookens (13) – 65
Graeme Crichton scored the only 2s of the day at the 3rd and the 17th.
This Sunday we will play one of our winter friendlies against Lamlash at Lamlash. Just turn up around 10am to be paired up (and pray for some decent weather).

Saturday 12th February – AGA Winter League Rd 4
After last week’s weather enforced postponement, reduced teams of four contested the 4th round of this season’s winter league at Corrie. Whiting Bay met Shiskine GC and prevailed by 2-0 to move up to the 6 point mark in the table
Sunday 30th January – Yellow Tees Stableford
13 played on the last Sunday of January. In the face of strengthening winds, scoring was steady rather than spectacular with 12 players returning 30 points or more. Happily all made it back to the clubhouse before storm Corrie struck and Douglas Auld came out top with a score of 37 points to win by 2.
