Saturday 29th August – Fun Texas Scramble
Saturday 29th August – Fun Texas Scramble
A slight change to our Saturday schedule. To accommodate a long standing party booking we’re pushing the Scramble back by 30 mins. So despite what it says on this poster we’ll be starting at 12.30pm.
Now if you haven’t got a team yet don’t worry. Just turn up and there should be no problem fitting you in as there are a few teams short of players.
Come along and enjoy the fun.
Lily Rainey
Lily Rainey
Members and friends of the club will be saddened to hear of the peaceful passing of Lily Rainey on 22nd August, with husband Stan in close attendance. Lily’s health had not been good for some time and she spent most of the current year in hospital, an experience exacerbated for her and the family by the restrictive impact of the lockdown. More recently however the family was comforted by being able to see her under more relaxed provisions of palliative care. Lily was a social member of the club and was a regular and enthusiastic attender at the clubhouse for functions or simply lunch with Stan. She will be sadly missed and our condolences go to Stan, Jennifer, Kieran and Finlay at this sad time.
Liz McConnell
Liz McConnell
The club is sad to announce the passing of Liz McConnell on 4th August. Comforted by husband Scott and other family members by Liz passed peacefully at home in Strathaven after a short illness. Along with Scott, who captained the club on two occasions, Liz was an enthusiastic and active supporter of the club. That support was always appreciated but especially so at times when the club was much in need. She will be sadly missed and our thoughts are with Scott and the family at this sad and difficult time
