Sunday 25th August – The Taylor Trophy Greensome
Another sweltering Sunday for this popular greensome following the success of Saturday’s Texas Scramble. A late night in the clubhouse perhaps went some way to explaining a lowish turnout of only13 players.

There was one magic 2 bagged by Graeme Crichton and Neillie Mckechnie at the 17th.
Sunday 18th August – Stableford Sweep
A blustery morning with heavy showers forecast led to the postponement of the Aitken Rosebowl Foursomes. It will be rescheduled shortly. For the 5 players who turned up we ran a yellow tees Stableford. Despite heavy rain showers all 5 completed the course and Neil “Sonic” Lucas carded a fine 37 points to win his first event at Whiting Bay. Well done Sonic.

Tom Paterson bagged the only 2 of the day at the 4th.

Sunday 11th August – The Lifeboat Stableford
15 played on what was, by recent standards at least, an uncharacteristically dreich morning for the last of our 2019 charity support opens. CSS went out to 65/34 Stableford points and Wolfi Kroner continued his recent winning ways to beat that by 2 shots.

4th Stan Rainey (10) – 31
Wolfi Kroner and Stan Rainey scored the only 2s of the day at the 17th.
